Come Home

This is my favourite song for now.....actually it has been for a long time and I managed to find this version so far. This song was the reason why I watch SoundWaves twice.

Branding sees no politics

For all that grumbling about the ERP rates and NOW increase in bus fares. This morning while watching PTM something struck me hard on the head. Would I lend a voice to the opposition party? It is evident why the opposition party has no means of surviving in a country monopolised by PAP. They lack branding! What is with the hammer? What is it with Sylvia? They need to understand that without a fresh face and some cool "uniforms" they will not succeed. That is why the PAP has done so well all these years. They keep themselves up to date. I mean....think about this, if the worker's party doesn't sound good...it so won't work. However, if I named the party, say INCONTRO or maybe SENSO hey! It might just work. Use some nice font type give it a fresh modern look and there you go....people will vote for you.

It is all about that packaging lor. If you cannot beat on substance, then try something else. Think PAP, their uniforms may all be white, at least it looks crisp and clean. White is purity, not some muddy looking yellow? White signifies that they are not corrupted ....... Even the website language speaks volume lor.

Contact me if you think you are ready to move the party forward.

OOooPPs....I think I was meant to be highlightng on the new MTV for NDP 2008. I am sooooooo swoon over by this MTV....See it for yourselves to believe.

PaPa Preach to moi

soundwaves.jpg

Living in a country with constant increase in ERP prices and Pontianaks carrying umbrellas at the carparks just make it sound like a horror movie. I dare say I rather live on Elm street, at least I know that something will come behind my back and I will scream my heads off. But I have resigned myself to the increasing standard of living in Singapore with little of none salary increment. *Gasp* Scary!

Propaganda is something so often seen around the world. Without realising it, we have already been ganda-fied. My only complaint with this virus would be the lack in creativity of how this is all done. Imagine the same all boring news of Singapore having the most efficient airport in the world to Garden City concept with even the HDB flats taking headlines.

But this, I say is the most innovative and creative way to reach out to the fellow citizens of Singapore. Sound Waves 2008. My unexpected participation to WATCH the show turned out more pleasant than I hoped for. The whole musical was strung together through a mix of dances, acting and music. The multimedia work was perfection. (Almost except for the adaptation of Singapore flyer to be a clock!) If Hitler was alive, he would be kicking himself silly for not thinking that the music and dance could actually be his most lethal weapon to conquer the world.

Elena Wang mesmerized me with her dance steps with pitch perfect singing and George...well...can't imagine a Singaporean could go so far so very far in Broadway and decided to give it up for find his roots here. And Emeric, what have you done to yourself? The writing and dialogue was not a single bit like what I have known you to write. Hey! Even the e-mail that you send me are not in the same "language". This is tooooooooo layman and mainstream lah.

In summary, if propaganda came in a musical like soundwaves, please Hitler... ... take me away.
