The Devil

Started work today with Immortal. All went well for a day one. The atmosphere of the office is very casual and relax. Dress code- Smart Casual (Trendy actually). Was ntroduced to the client that I will be taking over from a colleague that will be leaving the company in the next few months and another new project that will be handled by me. The new boss really trusts me and givng me ways in which I might be able to shine, however, he is also taking it slow with me. A starck contrast to the previous job.

To celebrate the new job, I took half the day off to watch The Devil Wears Prada with KM. The movie was hilarious with a story that I can relate to totally from my previous job. The similarity is almost uncanny. I may not be wearing Prada whilst on my previous job, but the parties were all that mattered. Hahaha. I cannot explain this on my blog, but trust me, watching the movie will totally explain the similarity.

Please do take sometime to watch the movie, it will be a good way to unwind after a hard day's work.

The Fat Cat and a Cappuccino

Wednesday night was dedicated to my ex-colleagues, JT, MK and LSA. We decided to head down Happy for Piano nights after dinner at Debs Cafe Flowerbed along Far East Square. Dinner was nice with lotsa sharing and updates on our love life as well as working environment.

Happy was great with Pamela singing familiar tunes from the 70's onwards. Dancing to the beat, I was actually rather high on music and wine. LoLx.

The night could not end just like that, and we headed over to LINGO's house for supper. We went to ta pau at this very famous Tiong Bahru Chee Char place. Spicy clams with water crest soup was the menu for the night. Under mood lighting, or rather candle lit ambience, we ate the delicious dishes in the dark. I was constantly worrying about insects losing their grio and falling into the food without us realising. The balcony over looks the pool and that was more than enough for a breathtaking resort like feel.

LINGO had a litter of pups, they are sooooooo cute! Esp in the arms of JT. Hahaha. Cappuccino oh so cute. And there was the fat cat.

Guru Muru

Started Yoga classes at an Indian temple. If you want to learn the best form of Yoga, learn it from the authentic Guru himself. Hahaha. Thereare great details to note, into this form of meditation and self-healing exercise. Maybe I might just be able to fly? Who knows? LoLx

Elaborate wall paintings in a temple with a rich hstory

Nike was there when meditation first began

Freebies

The week started of with no calls for interviews, rather depressing.

The day came and went without any fuss, just me and my silly state of mind. Feeling lost in the hustle and bustle of things without something that can look forward to, I have never felt worse.

Managed to make time for Y to catch a movie- My Super Ex-Girlfriend. A hilarious comedy that made the evening bearable from all the pain that I am going through currently. Uma Thurma made a simple slapstick no brainer movie watchable. Luke Wilson combined perfect comic timings with natural acting instincts to portray the BF of a super hero. The results, tickled the audience for the full length run of the movie.

Nothing beats watching a movie and winning something. Hahaha. That was what happened, The Cathay currently as this contest that is open to anyone that purchase 2 tickets. You get a chance to participate in the 'peel' & 'win' contest. Guess what, we won a $5 voucher at Ben and Jerry's. How cool is that? Wonder if I might get another prize for the next movie that I watch. LoLx.

Y came back from Euro Disney with a pleasent gift for moi, a nice Mickey Mug. Thanks babe! =)

Culture

Do you know?

Even with language barriers, there are 3 subjects that are universal:-

ARTS . MUSIC . FOOD

Fresh Greens

Realised that I have yet to upload pictures from KL. Been almost 2 weeks since my trip to KL. Sorry guys, will be doing that real soon. I guess the KL trip was not particularly memorable especially when some events surfaced after the trip. Looking for a job ferociously now.

Decided to go window shop around Suntec and Marina Square today, and discovered that in merely a difference of a few days, plants and trees has sprung up on the road sides, all in a bid to welcome the IMF delegates. Well done Singapore! That is the true spirit of a Singaporean, wayang...wayang...LoLx. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing this, as I have seen if for myself as it happened in Melbourne just days before the Commonwealth Games. Infact, I think it is wonderful for Singaporeans to work together and making sure everything is operational even before the arrival of the delegates. We are Singaporeans and not Australians, we take pride in our work and taking our time to make things happen is not part of the way we work. Am I right? Oh well.

A jade and a crystal

Ah....another day gone and another day without a job. I am hating the life of a jobless, I am neither learning anything nor working for an income right now. All that I can do these days are just to spend money and spend more money. Sigh. There is only so much I have and so much more to spend on.

The day was spent fruitful as I managed to catch up with an old friend from Perth, Ivana. She will be leaving for Perth again tomorrow. Always good to hear happenings from a city that I once resided in.

Lunch was @ Crystal Jade and ended the date with a movie at Cineleisure. Ant Bully was not fantastic and neither was Break Up that I watched last night. Two average movies in a row, I really need a damn good movie to boost my mood. Maybe I should watch Sophie Scholl, something that makes me think maybe? I know the perfect person to watch that movie with me. LoLx.

Pictures!

More clips on Hyeon Bin.

Chocolate

Should there be someone that can confirm with me, Hyeon Bin is actually using the "Chocolate" phone, I would gladly own a set for myself as well. Sigh.

Butter up

Before I head off for a lunch appointment with my ex-colleagues from CommsDNA, I decided to make the morning useful-baking cup cakes. Not done baking in awhile and I thought that it might be a nice gesture to just make something for them.

FrontRow Fashionistas

Whilst I am still trying to recover from post-serial syndrome, I managed to find time for a very special friend, JW. Been awhile since the both of us actually sat down and chat on the happenings of of lives. We used to spend so much time together in Perth on my very nice futon mattress, watching Simpsons, Who wants to be a millionaire etc. Thus were the days, when I just had to whip up some Thai dish and made the evening a TV night, with dessert and a glass of wine to make the evening a nice one.

Anyways, lunch was at FrontRow and I had a Terri-Torry-Chicken, it was delicious! I am not a fan of cold, veggie laid sandwiches, but that was simply divine to every mouthful. Designer Jonathan Seow came shortly after we arrived to check on his merchandise. JW was not familiar with the designer and his clothes and so I did a brief introduction on his Homme collection just a storey above. His designs blew JW away with shirts that were carved with an edge and prices that are not so affordable for an umemployed. FrontRow managed to brought in a more wearable collection this time around. A.P.C had a few nice pieces as well, with structured materials and vintage buttons.

The lunch and shopping date ended at a gift shop beside the scarlett Hotel. BL would really have enjoyed the gift items that were on sale. I for one fell in love with this glass made post card, very pretty.

JW, thanks for the lovely afternoon and making a could be boring afternoon for moi enjoyable.

My lovely

Managed to stay home over Saturday and Sunday to complete K-Drama serial- My Lovely Sam Soon.

The serial was a mixture of romance and comedy, I was laughing to myself all through the serial with little toilet breaks. Was so hard to leave the screen for even a second as I was anxious to know what happens next. The main lead Hyeon Bin is such a darling in the show. With good looks and witty lines, he certainly made the stay home weekend worth it. SWOONED!

New Blog-Skin

The 1 year old blog-skin is a thing of the past as I have replaced it with powerful and mysterious colour; black. Hopefully my reader's will like the changes that I have made to my blog. Took me slightly over an hour to learn ow to change everything successfully and as accurately as I could. Slight tweakings are needed still for the perfection of the blog-skin. Please find a new Tag-Board for the ease of communication from my friends and do treat it like an immediate way of communicating your thoughts on the different posts. Oh dear, just realised that my comments are missing. I better start figuring out how to get comments back on the posts.

Enjoy!

Mood to shop

With less than 24 hours before leaving for KL, I am already in the mood to shop! No idea why, but I was really not looking forward to the trip as much as my friends are expecting me to. I am afterall jobless now and a trip to KL did not seem ethical and answers are needed to the question of where I will be heading to next.

Did a quick flip on URBAN this morning, in hope that the interview that I have pitched for Jon Kennedy will be featured in the papers. =( Was not reported on "Bagpage". So sad lor. However, at least Grace featured Discover Music with Hennessy VSOP on- Hey Good Looking!
