As the day creeps towards an end with the adrenalin for the day dying away, a sense of sadness overwhelms me. I am starting to feel the backlash from all that has happened over the past week. The pent up frustration and pain that was so close to killing me is taking me over like that of a Tsunami. I wished that it did not happened and I did not feel the way I should. I had no perserverance and that led to the current state of mind. I want ti be free again and to enjoy the smeel of fresh lush greenery. The staleness of the air in the current situation is stifling me and making it hard to scream even. I want to cry, I want to wail, I want to get out of this hole that I am in now.
I beg you to free me, is it so hard for you? Or must I free myself from your clutches.
Dunno where I should go from here.

Just another day in paradise
The weekend was crazy frenzy for me. Started off with dinner on Friday with gorgeous BL. Finally lor, he is back in SG. He has definately lost weight and in all, looks the same to me, thus is the luxury of living in Perth. You can preserve you beauty. Heehee. Unlike me, after 6 months from good ol' Australia, I have aged in every single way there can be.
Dinner on Friday was no simple fare, decked with designer furniture, Oosh is touted as one of Singapore's next most exciting restaurant and bar. The interior designer made PS Cafe a hit this year and I won't be surprise if Oosh might be just as exciting. However, there were a few complaints from me. The chairs were a killer! Designer as it may be, the sofas were not practical for dinning patrons. And the tables that were made larger than usual for dinning were too low! My back hurt after dinner. And I was not even offered a discount! I was actually upset that they did not offer a discount. After all that I have been doing for them, and larger than life favours. How rude.
Despite their hostility, I managed to pick up from the evening as I had the company of fabulous friends. Late night shopping proceeded after in downtown Orchard Road and we ended the evening doing coffee at Starbucks. Yes they open till late- 2AM!
Spent Saturday at the Peranakan Excursion organised to eduacte the anak peranakans like me. I had no idea that the culture is so rich and flavourful. Nonetheless, it was an educational trip at Baba Peter Wee's shop. Danced the Saturday afternooon away with Rumbah and Cha Cha. I love my dance classes, but does he even realise it? Sigh.
The saturday continued with more shopping fun with BL. Club 21 Sale! That boi does not stop at all cost. We just went on and on, and by midnight, we were exhausted liao. Thank goodness for HK cafe at Cineleisure. The night closed with cold icey dessert- Mango. Being tired and all, we took a cab back, coz neither of us drove. See lah, no car means cannot move. hahaha
Idled the Sunday away until the evening then the animal in me started unleashing. Casino Royale was good and clubbing at Attica was even better. It has been so long since I had such good fun in Attica. Met up with many of my friends there. Must drop a fine Thank you to S for giving us priority in the queues, if not I would not have made it to the main dance floor at all. And cover was waived off. Thanks!

Bizzare
Phew! Thursday is finally over and the weekends are just round the corner. I can so smell the lush entertainment located minutes away from me.
Had a meeting with a client at HV today. One of those clients that I simply adore, not that they are nice to me, but the location and style that is presented in their store is simply me. LoLx. Was at Sloane clinic to discuss on the new packaging design for this festive season. Simply adored what we have come up with, in all senses, i contributed to the idea formulation of this interesting package.
Something happened while in the car on the way back to the office, my boss gave me a pleasent compliment that took me by surprise. I was equally shy and did not know how to answer.
Boss: Thank you for being so efficient, you have been a great help to me.
Adrian: Erm.... just dong my job lah. (LOST)
So weird, but it really made my day. Coz it was coming from one of the supposedly hardest to work with boss that frightened many away.
That same evening, I attended 2 parties. Nota Bene's opening launch @ Q Bar and FHM's Threesome party. It was one of those nights that I really was in no mood to party, and you just know it. Left after downinga few champers and did some catching up with my friends from the media. We were updating on our current jobs furiously. Haha.

Payment time

See lah. What happens when you get all tipsy and high? Photographers takes the most unexpected shots of you and put it online. How to look glam glam like that? Sigh.
The highlight of the evenng would have to be putting on "spray" on foundation and pushed into the studio for filming purposes. Joanne Capman was really viscious lor, she spared no moment to cut up my Tee and revealed so much of moi! Including my CK underwear. Wah piang, luckily i was feeling sexy that night. Muahahaha....

The same sun
Whilst driving down the expressway today, a thought suddenly struck me.
Perth might just be as hot as what we are currently experiencing, or maybe hotter?
The rays that I share are the same as what my friends are receiving.
Cest la Vie!

The last 10-days
As I was on the train to work, I realised that I am missing my friends that are currently not around me. However, the thing that is keeping me happy is the fact that they will be back in approximately 10 days. At least the first one starts rolling into Singapore 10 days from now. And the rest will follow suit in the following weeks to come.
Except for the London one lah, if not most of them should be back for this holiday season. The Grand Dame better make sure that he is trying so very hard to make a squeeze to board the flight back home. Afterall, he is not gaining much weight as well. =P
Cannot wait for them to return, my holidays are over, better start preping to work myself at the clubs soon. Muahaha. So much for summer holidays!

Not a good year for movies, but this is good
Spent the evening at the cinema with Yayne, watching- A Good Year. I have to say that the movie charmed me with its witty script and scenic backdrop. Russell Crowe simply worked his magic once again. A simple plot a heart wrenching story always works with me. France was beautiful with the Chateau speaking more to me than words. After the movie, I was just thinking about wines, maybe owning my own Chateau in WA. Heehee...afterall, a few acres of land is only being sold at A$750K. Not that I can afford it right now, but for a few acres of land and the machinery that comes with it, worth it! I will retire there with the one I love and drink wine everyday. Do not give this splendid and charming movie a miss. =)Friday, November 10, 2006
Kelly Rowland
Hacienda. A gem that was stashed away from my very sight every visit to PS Cafe. Finally, a party to celebrate your beauty and worth. The opening party for the SG motorshow for Subaru is to be held here. And the invited guest was no one short of celebrity glamour. Kelly Roland rocks!
Think casual chic for dress code as the red carpet was decked out to the road where cars like mine was a shy cry from the company. Less the glitzy dresses but bring on the jeans, the group still looked emaculately posh. The only problem with the party was the lack of free flow of champers. All that was served for the night, watermelon martini. Even though the drink lacked punch, it was pleasently refreshing.
Arrived too early and I knowing how a diva should be was hoping that no one was gonna be late and the show should start on time. I was actually worried that I might have a lack of company for that evening. It is always nerve wrecking for me to attend a party without a proper date. Yes, I went alone. The people that I had in mind for a party like this are all way from my side (not for long) and some others that I so want to invite might have a clash of interest with the party hosts. I did not want to commit social suicide and definitely not cause unnecessary rivalry between my ex-boss and my friends. Bought some champers for myself and started to find myself mixing perfecly with the crowd. And not too long later, people that I knew started making their entrances. Phew! Friends from the media and clients started littering around me.
Was introduced to this girl that is currently a student from RMIT, Melbourne. When she was told of my profession she started judging my occupation. Hahaha. Turned out rather funny as she thinks that I am the cause of stereotyping, discrimination and influencing consumer minds. I was not defensive and knew exactly where my stand is. Infact, I agreed with her. Maybe not completely but I agreed with her.
Saw Jade, yes the model from, America's Next Top Model. She is so tall that it is not farnie! Chatted with her and asked her how she was doing in town. On screen, she is not my favourite. But off-screen she is divine! I guess that is TV, making you believe that it is actually a reality TV, but many do not understand that all has been taken out of context. Made her look like the least favourite and the worst of the lot. She mentioned that Tyra Banks is a wonderful Act-tress. You know what, I believed her. TV is all but a show for a myriad of people to manipulate the minds of ther audiences.
When Kelly Rowland came on stage, she worked the magic. Sprinkling star dust all over the audience and mesmerizing them with her dance moves and power singing. You rock girl! The 15 mins show was so short and we could not get enough of her. The night ended off with supper with my dear friends at Newton Food Centre, for a full hour of gossip session with the "press".
For now, I hope to spend some quiet time with myself and maybe a couple more fringe parties before the "gang" comes back to join me.

Glitter Gold
After seeing the doctor twice and popping countless pills, I am finally feeling so much better and not as sick as I was over the weekend.
Met LSA for dinner as well as to find a suitable gift for our dear friend JT. It is so hard to find her a gift as she is not your average kind of girl, the gift must be edgy and reflects her personality; loud. Finally we found the perfect necklace for her at, On Pedder Red. Phew! Dinner was at Sushi Tei, this girl just love her carbs. Can hardly imagine a girl ordering so many plates of potatoe and gulped a while bowl of Salmon Don. Wow! Always a pleasure to catch up with a girl as street wise and smart like her. She knows more stuff in the scene than I do. I wonder why!?!?! Hahaha....
Headed to Thumper after to surprise our friend JT. It is a "priavate" event this Tues and I was actually put on VIP list. How cool was that? After being in the scene for so many years, I am hardly even on the list of names to any of the clubs. And it has to be a L party that I get my fine name marked there. How awful! =P
JT was pleasently surprised and loved her gift. Happy Birthday! Stayed for an hour and steered clear from the alcohol. So sad. However, I knew I had to do that as I will be attending another event on Thursday. Another special invite from my dear friends to attend "Tian's" launch party at Hacianda at Dempsey. Special guest- Kelly Roland, like I care. Oh well, just make sure they have enough Champers for the evening on Thurs.

All that Jazz
At times, it is just nice to drve along the expressway and listen to my favourite Jazz songs. The calming effects allows me to reflect on my love life and inject some positivity into my sad life.

Horror Dim Sum
Global Entrepolis seminar went well with guest-speakers that I could learn from. Ken Cato was really good with the branding portion of the seminar. He made a clear point that branding is actually there but consumers do not even realise that it is happening around us. Particularly liked the way he made us understand ow branding can transcends time and endear the many instability that a brand might face over the years.
Before the day ended, my dear friend dropped me a msg and wondered if I might be free for a party at Q bar the same hour. Knowing my standards, I readily agreed. Need the drink lah. And what better way to get a free drink than to be at a partiiii....The event was held n conjunction with Destin Asia magazine's 5th anniversay. I wonder how did the magazne survived the 5 years without me not knowing it existed. Anyways, it was just champers and finger food for one hour. Joined Lingo downstairs just before I decided to leave the partii. Was not in a mood to socialise. just needed the drink. Lingo was preparing to leave for the muscal- Little shop of horrors. Se invited me along as it so happened that there was a spare ticket for the evening, having nothing on hand, I said yes.

SFW 2006
Singapore Fashion Week is here again! I wonder why are there so many versions of this festival. They are really trying to make fasion part of a Singaporean lifestyle or simply nothing else to look forward to and thus the get together and make some happenings.
Nonetheless, I still sashayed down to Raffles City Atrium for the opening event for this season- The Young Designers contest. A total of 8 finalists were cosen out of the many and only 2 will get to compete in the ASEAN young designers award. Thank goodness Leslie Chia and Annie were there to meet me and EL and tah dah! We got a nice VIP seat behind the velvet ropes. The thrill was in the way we were seated and having the rest of the audience standing behind us wondering if there might be any celebrity turning up for the event. Muahahaha...I just stood there and waved.....
I was pretty amazed on the quality of designs from youths of Singapore. The creations were more like art than anything else, and wen you actually have a further read on their profiles, you will realise how young they actually are. Anyway, Or Beng Hua took the winning title with Harry Halim taking the second place. Their collection represented a vision that entails culture and futuristic moods. Tight tailoring techniques could be seen reflected in their work of art. I too am inspired, but for now I am contented with my job that allows me autonomy to have a go at all the things that I like to do in life, that includes fashion as well.

Apothecary

The first party that I have attended in the capacity of am employee of Immortal. And I actually thought that my party days might just be over. The meaning of a party to me more than just alcohol and meeting new people. But the bulk of it rests in the fact that I can do some catching up with friends that I have not met in awhile.
Apothecary is finally open after months of planning and preparation. This client might not have been wholly andled by me, but I have to say that since I joined the company, I have been involved in the "servicing" process. Woner Chai Ling is one of the better clients that I have met, she does not give a hard time but shortens the approval process.
Congratulations!
Moet was dished out so very often that it seems rude if I were not to top up my flute wit Champers. Muahaha. I had a total of 6 glasses in all. Not a lot leh, could have downed at least another 2 flutes. Darn! Starting to realise that I cannot do without my champagne.
Do visit this shop that carries brands that will wow you away. Brands such as Epicurean and Borba makes the store special as they are hard to find in SG.
