Happy Mooncake eating

The whole day was all about meeting, meeting and more meetings. And I thought that my boss granted us permission to be excluded from the day's meeting and run out to look at the city. Despite the disappointment in the exclusion of possible shopping trips, I have to say that the meetings gave me an insight on the developments of design works in Asia.

Dinner was a dip in the sea at Ngoc restaurant. This is the year the restaurant celebrates its 50th anniversary. How cool is that? Half a century of servicing the public with good food and wonderful ambience. Dish by dish came out of the kitchen without the staff feelng apologetic for the stellar cast. My favourite dish was still the deep fried spring rolls, I just could not stop helping myself to them. By the time I was done with dinner, it was already too late to meet cong who was suppose to show me around town and maybe head out for a drink I badly needed. Today is the next most impt day of the lunar calender and I am not with my famly. I had a sight of a city that was once torn by the war and now scarred from it. The streets were filled with viets celebrating this oriental festival. They are more gregarious than Singaporeans, simple celebrations with enthusiasm. We gave the festval a miss after finding the streets were jammed up. I have no wish to be part of a festival that might attract unforeseen thefts.

Sleeping early for the presentation tomorrow. I need all the energy I can gather to impress my bosses and hopefully make them decide that I have been a good choice of theirs to hire me.
