As IMF meeting comes to an end, I would like to share something with my readers. As my brother has been a "helper" with the IMF event, he actually told me something that made me realise the disparity in IMF and why there is a constant need for such meetings to happen.
A delegate actually approached my brother to ask for directions to his hotel. The delegate showed him the name card of the hotel. The delegate claimed that the hotel is in town. But when my brother actually read the address, it showed a "hotel" located in Geylang. Guess where the delegate came from? South Africa.
This showed the disparity and struggle that third world countries are going through, and you start wondering if IMF is doing enough to help such countries or is it all a show? The third world countries just wants a voice, a voice that can be heard by the people around the world and hopefully aid for to poverty happening in their countries. Money might not be able to solve everything, but it is a start, a start to end the problems in their country.
