Currently I am putting up at my cousin's place in Kingsford. I realised that I actually do not have many friends in Sydney. And the only remotely possible resaon for me to be here is due to Mardi Gras and lust. Lust for the shimmering lights and passerbys.
Checked out a few museums while here. And that is about it. Oxford street is a must to visit, but not without company. Right now, just waiting for Ian Chan to arrive into Syndey at 1055hrs. The last few days amounts to walking and more walking alone aong george street and around circular quay.
Sydney is a really face paced city with noticeable changes within just a few months of absence. Out popped world square, a completely new buliding with heaps of shopping outlets. What mattered more to me was not the shops that was in it. But a huge "dragon" like installation. And then there were the lights. They were ever changing and gave the walk way fresh feel. Maybe City Link should try this out. That really spruced up the shopping pleasure.Unfortunately, no shopping has been done so far. Putting all my hopes on Chapel Street and a maybe Paddington.
Oh Yah!
And I was lost on day one of my trip. Met this sweet looking Pan-Asian girl on the way to Chinatown. So it seems she was just as lost and heading towards Chinatown as well. Might as well, and so we tried to find Chinatown together. She is from Melbourne and here for a short break, accompanying his Greek parentage BF. We were basically bitching about Sydney. OMG! Yes! And what made the whole 1 hours so fun was the fact that we started talking about shopping. Was so cool. Her name is Wanalulu. Her parents are from Hawaii. She has never taken the Sydney train before and so I took her in the train.
Off to the shower, must make sure I arrive earlier than Mr. Chan.More updates in Melbourne maybe.
P.S: More pics from graduation. Sorry for the raw pics, no time to edit.
